We do continuous intake for the following positions:

ABLE BODY SEAMAN – Carry out cargo handling duties, general cleaning, maintenance and other manual labour as assigned; paint all interior and exterior surfaces and equipment as directs by supervisor; Prepare cargo for lift by attaching slings through shackles and other attaching devices, check loads for clearance, obstructions, balance and proper attachment.

ASSISTANT DRILLER - Must be able to perform the functions of the Driller, but will do so only with the guidance and direction of the Driller. Operates and monitors all drilling systems and equipment, assists in drill crew work activities, and manages appropriate drilling documentation for the process of drilling oil and gas wells from an offshore drilling unit to the satisfaction of the client, Company management, and within compliance of applicable regulations.

ASSISTANT CRANE OPERATORS - Assistant Crane Operators must be experienced offshore operators and have successfully completed an Offshore Crane Operators Assessment by a recognized authority.

BOSUN – Ensure deck operations are carried out in a safe and prudent manner with directives from the Marine and Drilling Supervisors; Supervise the deck crew in the maintenance of lifesaving equipment and train them to carry out their station bill duties in the event of an emergency; Determine the type of rigging, scaffolding et cetera required for specific jobs, which include painting, woodworking, decking of vessels, and cargo handling.

CHIEF STEWARD / CAMP BOSS - The Chief Steward supervises the work activity of the entire Catering Department to include carrying out objectives established by the Rig Manager, Shore base Superintendent and Barge Master. Essential functions include planning, scheduling, problem solving, conducting inspections and operational meetings, interacting with other department heads and communicating direction to the Night Cook and other key members of the Catering Department. The ultimate goal of this position is to maintain the cleanliness of the quarters and provide safe quality food preparation on a daily and ongoing basis with an emphasis on cost control. Eligible candidates should have a minimum of one to two years experience working as a Night Cook or two years prior industry related experience as a Cook / Steward and MUST have valid Offshore Certifications such as BST, H2S Alive, WHMIS and Standard First Aid.

CHIEF ENGINEER (MARINE) - Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria: Must be Canadian Resident and or hold a work permit with Canadian certificates as follows: 1. Class 1 Motor (unrestricted power) Certificate; 2. Continues Proficiency Endorsement; 3. Oil Tanker Level 2 Certificate; 4. Applicable MED courses / STCW 95 MED Certificates; 5. Comprehensive Experience in Medium Speed Diesel Engines & CPP; 6. Good Knowledge of Shipboard Electrical Systems; 7. At least 3 years recent experience as Chief Engineer on OBO /Tanker vessels; 8. Familiarity with ISM Regulations; 9. Preferably with experience on ships operating in the Arctic region

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER / SUPERINTENDENT – Supervise directly construction work on site of major modifications, upgrades and repair of drilling rig.  Ensure shipyard and contractor personnel are in compliance to design, engineering and company standards.  Interface with all project disciplines.  Applicants must have a B.Sc. in Engineering and minimum of 5 Years experience with major rig upgrade projects.

CRANE OPERATORS - Crane Operators must be experienced offshore operators and have successfully completed an Offshore Crane Operators Assessment by a recognized authority.

DECK OFFICER - Jobs within the Deck Officer classification oversee the operation of supply vessels, oil tankers, seismic vessels and other ships engaged in offshore oil and gas operations, including floating production installations and drilling rigs. More specifically, Deck Officers navigate safe passage; ensure the seaworthiness and safety of crew, ship and cargo; supervise and coordinate the activities of deck crews; and oversee the logistics of cargo movements and helicopters. They also maintain logs of vessel progress, crew activities, and weather and sea conditions.

DECK PUSHER - The Deck Pusher must have an Offshore Crane Operator’s license, and other regulatory and non regulatory training, knowledge of basic technical calculations required for the safe operation of the marine aspect of the rig and basic computer skills. Responsible for providing Crane Operator’s and Roustabout’s with relevant instructions for current and forthcoming operations. Supervise crane and deck operations such as running casing, picking up and laying down tubular, placement of equipment and supplies and the replacement or installation of mooring lines and bulk fill up hoses and the maintenance, inspection and repair of cranes and barge equipment etcetera. Coordinate supply boat traffic, particularly during loading and unloading of materials and ensure those operations are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.

DECK SUPERVISOR - The Deck Supervisor is responsible for carrying out the work activity and objectives established by the Barge Master and or the Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) with the entire marine and deck related operations including, but not limited to, deck maintenance and repair, crane operations, emergency preparedness, on scene commander during emergency events, equipment inspection and repair, participate in emergency drills as required, coordinate communications with workboats and, maintain vessel stability, calculate daily loading calculations, and assist Jack Up Rig Mover with rig moves.

DERRICKMAN - The Derrickman operates, monitors, and maintains all drilling fluid systems and equipment associated with drilling oil and gas wells from an offshore drilling unit; directs and coordinates work activities associated with drilling fluid system and equipment operations; and works aloft in the derrick and / or at rig floor piperacker console running and retrieving drill string sections from the well bore. Eligible candidates should have a minimum of two to three years experience as a Roughneck, and MUST have valid Offshore Certifications such as BST, H2S Alive, WHMIS and Standard First Aid.

DRILLER - Operates and monitors all drilling systems and equipment, supervises all drill crew work activities, and manages appropriate drilling documentation for the process of drilling oil and gas wells from an offshore drilling unit to the satisfaction of the client, Company management, and within compliance of applicable regulations.

DYNAMIC POSITIONS OPERATOR - Assist the Master in exercising effective control over the rig’s marine operations with due regard for safety of personnel, maintenance of rig equipment, and protection of the environment. Ensure materials and equipment loaded onboard are safely stowed, secured and labeled according to Regulatory requirements. Maintain the watertight integrity of the vessel, loading and storage of consumables, securing of supply vessels, safe operation of helicopters, etcetera. Ensure the vessel is maintained within normal safe limits of intact and damage stability, shear stress and bending moments. Supervise the 2nd Mate’s activities and perform the duties of a DPO when required. Assist the Master during rig moves and anchor handling operations between drilling locations and in ports. Eligible candidates should have a minimum of two years experience as a Roustabout, and MUST have valid Offshore Certifications such as BST, H2S Alive, WHMIS and Standard First Aid.

ELECTRICIAN - The Electrician is responsible for various duties including but not limited to the operational integrity, maintenance (preventive maintenance), installation/removal of electrical equipment, repair and documentation of the entire offshore unit’s electrical systems and equipment to include all refrigeration and air conditioning systems, all electrical power generation sources, rectifiers and circuits, transformers, power distribution equipment, electrical motors and controllers, performing diagnostic tests and troubleshooting system faults and failures, of all electrical equipment down to the component level. The ultimate objective of this position is to ensure that electrical power is supplied where and when needed, that all electrical systems are within safety and regulatory body compliance standards and all electrical equipment remains operative thought the operation. The candidate should have one to three years rig electrician experience employed on offshore floating or jack-up operations preferred and MUST have Offshore Certifications such as BST, H2S Alive, WHMIS and Standard First Aid.

ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN - The Electronic Technician is the designated electronics specialist who is responsible for the operational integrity maintenance (preventive maintenance) installation and removal of electronic equipment, repair and documentation of the entire offshore unit's electronic systems down to the component level.

FISHERIES OBSERVER - Fisheries observers collect data, valuable fisheries information not available through research cruises or shore sampling. By doing so, observers help preserve the fish stocks and commercial fishing industry.  Observers arrange their trips on the fishing vessels with assistance from Area Coordinators; Observers collect vessel and trip information such as port, vessel size, number of crew, gear, and expenses (food, fuel, ice); Observers will record the types, sizes and number of gear he has onboard; Will take measurements of certain gear parts; Observers primary duty is to collect data on pounds of fish caught and discarded by haul; Depending on requirements, observers will take length measurements and age structures on certain species of fish; and send this data to the appropriate department. They may be contacted by their Data Editor regarding how they recorded information and items that need improvement. The data is edited, entered, audited, and loaded into a computer database for analysis of fisheries populations, fishing economics, and incidental takes of marine mammals

MARINE ENGINEER - Engineering Officer will operate and maintain engines, machinery and auxiliary equipment aboard ships and other self-propelled vessels and supervise the activities of engine room crews. This includes inspection and documentation of fuel, bunkers and stores used for operations and maintenance.

MECHANIC - Designated mechanical specialist who is responsible for various duties including but not limited to the operational integrity, maintenance (preventive maintenance), installation and removal of mechanical systems / components repair and documentation of the offshore unit’s system, BOP systems, pipe handling system, rotary components, pumps, mud conditioning equipment, deck equipment such as winches, air tuggers and cranes, and auxiliary equipment such as compressors, pumps and water systems, piping, fittings, valves and emergency preparedness equipment. The ultimate objective of this position is to ensure that all mechanical systems remain operative throughout the operation and comply with safety, regulatory body and test standards. Candidate MUST have a Valid Industrial Journeyman Mechanic Certificate and other regulatory and non-regulatory courses including Offshore Certifications such as BST, H2S Alive, WHMIS and Standard First Aid and three to five years experience on an offshore drilling operation preferred.

NIGHT COOK / BAKER - The Night Cook / Baker’s primary work activity includes but is not limited to the safe preparation and serving of all baked items and the midnight and breakfast meals. In addition, he / she supervise the activities of the Catering Department and living quarter’s maintenance (cleaning) at night. MUST have a minimum of three to five years industry experience as a Cook / Steward or Night Cook / Baker and Offshore Certifications are current including Basic Survival Training, H2S Alive, WHMIS, and Standard First Aid

OFFSHORE INSTALLATION MANAGER (OIM) – Reporting o the Rig Manager the OIM manages all manpower, resources, and activities to safely achieve optimum performance.

PROJECT ENGINEEER – Assist project Manager in all modifications upgrades and repair to drilling units.  Includes responsibility and control of all technical systems assigned ensuring project objectives, design criteria, schedule and commercial requirements are met.  Applicants must have B. Sc in Engineering and a minimum of 2-5 years exper

ROUGHNECK - The Roughneck operates and maintains all rig floor drill string handling and hoisting equipment and well control systems and equipment as directed by the Driller. The Roughneck operates and maintains all related tools and other equipment required to run casing, run and retrieve drill string, riser, subsea equipment and specialized tools as required. During non-drilling operations, the Roughneck’s work activities include repair and maintenance of all drilling systems, equipment and work areas as directed by the Driller. During relocation of the drilling unit, the Roughneck assists as directed in positioning the drilling unit on and off location. Eligible candidates should have a minimum of two years experience as a Roustabout, and MUST have valid Offshore Certifications such as BST, H2S Alive, WHMIS and Standard First Aid.

SUBSEA ENGINEER - The Subsea Engineer is to ensure the efficient and continual functioning of all mechanical and hydraulic systems relating to the subsea systems throughout the rig. This includes all systems which are used to maintain proper riser and guideline tension and pressure, motion compensators, hydraulic closing unit for the BOP, choke and kill valves and subsurface BOP stack. The Subsea Engineer is responsible for all repairs and maintenance related to the rig subsea system. The Subsea Engineer is to perform all his / her tasks in a safe and efficient manner under the supervision of the Rig Superintendent. The candidate should have two to three years of mechanical and electrical experience and have experience as a Subsea Engineer and MUST have valid Offshore Certifications such as BST, H2S Alive, WHMIS, and Standard First Aid.

THIRD ENGINEER – Assist in maintaining and repairing mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment onboard the rig; Performs daily inspections; Apply the permit to work and isolation systems as required; Supervise and guide the Motor Operator and Mechanic Trainee in the On the Job Training (OJT) program

TOOLPUSHER - Supervise the work activity of the entire drilling department personnel to include carrying out objectives established by the Rig Manager, Shore base Superintendent, or the Offshore Installation Manager. Essential functions include planning, scheduling, problem solving, conducting inspections and operational meetings, interacting with other rig department heads, and communicating directions to the Night ToolPusher and/or Driller. The ultimate objective of this position is to complete successful offshore oil and/or gas wells to the satisfaction of the Client, Company management and within compliance of applicable regulations.

UTILITY / STEWARD - Primary work activity is either in the galley or the living quarters of the offshore unit. If assigned to the Galley, the utility performs designated job duties to assist in preparation and serving of food. Duties also include cleaning the kitchen, mess room, and all areas designated to the galley department. If assigned to the living quarters, the utility maintains the quarters and the laundry for the individuals living on the rig, plus maintaining and cleaning the recreation room and other areas as assigned. MUST have one to two years prior industry experience in offshore / land drilling preferred and Offshore Certifications are current including Basic Survival Training, H2S Alive, WHMIS, and Standard First Aid

WELDER - The Welder is the offshore unit’s designated specialist who is responsible for repairing, fabricating and / or modifying metal structures inclusive of all structures associated with the offshore unit. The Welder is responsible for complying with applicable regulations regarding construction as well as safety regulations related to hot work, pressure vessels and working in enclosed spaces. The candidate MUST have a Valid Journeyman Welding Certificate, three years prior work experience in offshore / land drilling, possess the ability to read blueprints, and have valid Offshore Certifications such as BST, H2S Alive, WHMIS and Standard First Aid.
